Oslo Sangria
This recipe will work best using coffee on the fruitier side of the flavour spectrum. I've opted for our award-winning FiXX Oslo (FiXX Seattle and FiXX Lisbon work well, too - available at fixxcoffee.com). First, you will need to make your cold brew base. This will differ depending on whether or not you want it alcoholic.
Alcoholic
How to make your Cold Brew
Submerge 60g of coarsely ground FiXX Oslo in 500ml of cold water in an airtight container, mix well and refrigerate for 18hrs. After this, strain the grinds, and you've got your cold brew base. Then you'll need...
Ingredients
- 50ml FiXX Oslo cold brewed
- 100ml fruity red wine(e.g. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot)
- 15ml simple syrup (made dissolving sugar in water 1:1)
- Soda water
- Ice
- Fresh Berries to Garnish
In a tall glass with ice, combine the cold brew, wine and syrup. Stir, and top up with soda water to taste. Garnish with your favourite berries, and enjoy (responsible, of course).
Non-alcoholic
Submerge 60g of coarsely ground FiXX Oslo in 500ml of cold water in an airtight container, mix well and refrigerate for 12hrs. After this, strain the coffee liquid into a jug. Next, add a handful of freshly sliced strawberries, raspberries and blueberries, and the zest on half an orange. Stir to combine and let sit for another 4 hours in the fridge. Finally, strain to remove the fruit and zest, and you now have your fruit-infused cold brew base. Then you'll need...
- 50ml FiXX Oslo fruit-infused cold brewed
- 15ml simple syrup (made dissolving sugar in water 1:1)
- 100ml Soda water
- Ice
- Fresh Berries to Garnish
Combine the fruit-infused cold brew with the syrup in a tall glass with ice. Stir, and top up with soda water. Garnish with your favourite berries, and enjoy.
