The Irish Coffee is a surefire classic of the cocktail world. And with good reason. Combine the warmth of your favourite Irish whiskey with your favourite FiXX, sweeten it to taste, and then contrast the hot coffee with cold, rich cream. Delicious. And it's so simple to make as well. How you brew your coffee will be up to you, but French Press or pour over like a V60 would be my first choice.
As for what coffee you use, well, that's up to you, too. FiXX Organic lends itself well to this cocktail because of its pleasant chocolaty taste. But I'm a big fan of using FiXX Decaf for my evening cocktails. Not only does it have a rich, full coffee flavour, but you can enjoy your cocktail without filling up on caffeine late in the evening. The whiskey is your call, too. But generally speaking, your standard, off-the-shelf Irish will do the job perfectly.
30ml Irish Whiskey
5g brown/demarara sugar
110ml Brewed FiXX Coffee
Lightly whipped pouring cream
Start by preheating your Irish Coffee Glass. If you don't have one, you can use any stemmed glass as long as it's heatproof. You can always use a cup/mug if you want. It'll still taste great. Whatever vessel you use, preheat it by pouring some boiling water into it and allowing it to sit.
Next, brew your coffee. As mentioned earlier, you can do this however you want. If you use espresso, dilute it with boiling water to get to your 110ml brewed coffee.
Discard the hot water from your glass and add one heaped teaspoon of brown/demerara sugar.
Add a good splash of the hot coffee and stir to dissolve all the sugar.
Add your whiskey and top up with the rest of your coffee, stopping around 2cm from the top to leave room for the cream.
Pour your cream into a cocktail shaker and shake for approx 20 seconds. This will slightly airate and thicken the cream so it will hold its shape on top of the hot cocktail. If you don't have a cocktail shaker, you can use a jar with a lid.
Once your cream is ready, slowly pour onto the hot coffee over the back of a spoon. This will slowly spread the cream around the top and help to keep its shape.
And there you have it. Feel free to experiment with different coffees brewed in different ways. You can mix up your choice of whiskey and play around with various sugars or sweeteners like muscovado sugar, honey or even maple syrup.
Add the warmth of winter spices to your favourite FiXX to create this tasty offering for the whole family to enjoy. With fresh sweet spices mulling perfectly together with FiXX, this simple to prepare coffee will be the perfect after-dinner complement.
30g of your Favourite FiXX
1 star anise
1 cinnamon stick (approx 5g)
1g of nutmeg
1-2 slices of orange500g of boiling water
In a cafetiere, add 30g of your favourite FiXX and 60g of boiling water. Add your spices and orange slices and stir to combine, ensure everything is evenly wet. Top up with the remaining 440g of boiling water and leave to mull for four minutes. While the drink brews, take a slice of orange peel and rim your cups of choice to add an extra citrus kick. Finally, stir the mulled coffee once more before plunging. Serve straight away and enjoy!

Coffee Infused Alcohol
It is incredibly easy to infuse your favourite spirit with your favourite FiXX. And it is a great way to add a layer of flavour to a cocktail. The coffee-to-alcohol ratio we used was 1:6-7 (approx). To infuse your spirits, you will need whole-bean coffee, a jar or any sealable container, and a way to strain the beans. I used a V60 with filter paper, but a sieve and kitchen towel would work fine.
In your container of choice, add your favourite FiXX beans. If using a 700ml bottle, this would equate to 105g of coffee beans. If you want to start small, 30g of coffee in 200ml works well.
Next, pour in your spirit of choice. Whiskey works remarkably well. But so too will Bourbon and Vodka. These three options will lend themselves well to upcoming cocktail recipes. Leave to infuse for 48 hours, occasionally stirring during this period. After 48 hours, strain the coffee beans. Using a funnel, you can return the coffee-infused spirit to the bottle it came from.
You can now enjoy this coffee-infused drink straight away over ice. Or use it as a base to experiment with cocktails. Enjoy!
Forget the milk and cookies for Santa this Christmas. There'll be loads of that going around. But fear not, we've got the recipe to keep him going! This Festive FiXX is a celebratory crowd-pleaser, combining your favourite FiXX with sweet maple syrup, floral warming bourbon, and luscious fresh cream. Perfect for your end of year silly season. This recipe will make enough cream for two cocktails.
200ml Freshly Brewed FiXX Coffee (per mug)
50ml Maple Syrup
200ml Fresh Double Cream
1 tbsp Brown Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla Essence
Ginger Biscuits to Garnish.
Pour your cream, maple syrup, vanilla essence, and brown sugar into a large mixing bowl. Combine until the sugar has dissolved. Next, brew your favourite FiXX how you like it. Add a splash of the brewed coffee (approx 10ml) and the bourbon to the cream. Stir together gently to combine. Pour the rest of your brewed coffee into your mug of choice. Add a splash of the cream mixture into the coffee and stir together. Now, it's time to whisk. Beat the remaining cream mixture together until stiff and spoon a good few scoops on top of your coffee. Crumble a gingerbread biscuit on top to garnish, and enjoy.
This recipe is a winner for those dark winter evenings. A hot whiskey (or hot totty, if you prefer) but! with a coffee twist. To make this drink, you will need some coffee-infused whiskey. The recipe to do this is also on this recipe page. Once you have this, the rest is simple. All you need (besides the ingredients) is a kettle.
35ml of FiXX-infused whiskey
200ml boiling water
1/2 a slice of orange
1 cinnamon stick
a teaspoon of honey
Put the kettle on. While it is boiling, get half a slice of orange and stud the rind with five whole cloves. Next, in a mug or strong-walled glass, add your honey, coffee-infused whiskey, and clove-studded orange and top up with boiling water. Then, use your cinnamon stick to stir the drink, dissolving the sugar. Leave the stick in there while you enjoy your hot coffee whiskey. Enjoy!

Have fun experimenting and remember to enjoy responsibly!
We never get bored coming up with new and exciting ways to enjoy our favourite FiXX. But even we were sceptical when it was suggested FiXX is so delicious you could pour it on a salad. But here we are. This sweet, tangy vinaigrette will pair well with strong leafy greens like kale or rocket. Add some feta for salty, creaminess and hazelnuts for crunch. You can even add some charred red peppers for a smokey twist. Or, choose your own adventure. Enjoy!
1 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tbsp Maple Syrup
1 tsp Wholegrain Mustard
4 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
6 tbsp Your Favourite FiXX (brewed and left to cool)
Fresh Ground Black Pepper (to taste)
Sea Salt (to taste)
Brew your favourite FiXX. I used FiXX Lisbon for its sweet citrus profile. But FiXX Decaf, Seattle or Oslo will also work well with this. When brewing, it's best to use a method to maximise flavour intensity. I used an AeroPress, but a Moka Pot or French Press will also work well. If you use a French Press, pour your coffee into a cup to cool so as not to over-extract the coffee. Once your coffee is ready, add all the liquids and mustard in a glass jar with a tight lid, then shake to combine—finally, season with salt and pepper to taste. Then drizzle on your salad creation and enjoy!
Coffee Spice Mix
BBQ season is here again. With the sun hot and high, the drinks will be cold. So you'd be forgiven for thinking there's not much room for coffee. Well, think again. The Black Coffee Steak is your favourite FiXX with a twist. This rub is an excellent addition to your BBQ menu, combining an earthy umami flavour of coffee with sweetness and spiciness.
3 tsp of your favourite FiXX - finely ground 2 tsp Garlic powder 2 tsp Paprika 2 tsp Onion Salt 1 tsp Cumin 1 tsp Brown Sugar 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper Olive Oil
Combine all the dry ingredients in a small bowl and mix well. When your steak is at room temperature, rub with olive oil and generously apply the dry rub all over. Leave to sit for at least 30min. When your grill/griddle pan is smoking hot, add your steak. Turn once after two minutes and cook for another one and a half minutes. Remove from the heat a leave to rest for six more minutes. Then, enjoy!
This rub will also work well with Tofu steak. Just adjust your cooking technique accordingly.
Coffee with a bounce and a wiggle? Sure, why not. This dessert is hugely popular in Japan, and it is easy to see why. It is incredibly easy to make. You can play with different variations. And when the sun is hot and high, it makes a wonderfully refreshing summer treat. This recipe uses Agar Agar, a setting agent made from seaweed that can be easily found in any good Asian supermarket. It is not only a vegetarian option but also dissolves quickly and imparts no flavour onto the finished jelly. For the rest of this recipe, you will need...
450ml brewed FiXX Coffee (Brewed with 30g of coffee, and we used FiXX Organic for a chocolaty boost in flavour profile)
30g white sugar
5g Agar Agar
50ml boiling water
10g condensed milk
100ml double cream
Or, you can top it with Irish cream liquor?
Or your favourite ice cream?
To begin, brew 450ml of coffee using 30g of ground coffee. We used a V60 for clarity of flavours, but other brewing methods will work fine. Once your coffee is brewed, put 50ml of boiling water into a pot with the Agar Agar on medium heat and stir to dissolve all the powder. Once dissolved, add your brewed coffee and sugar to the pot and increase the heat to medium-high. Stir constantly to make sure the sugar has dissolved. When the coffee starts a rolling boil, take it off the heat and pour the mixture into a rectangular shallow dish. Allow to cool slightly before placing in the fridge. Next, mix your condensed milk and cream. You can adjust the amount of either for your preferred sweetness level. When your jelly has set (it shouldn't take long!), cut it into cubes and spoon it into your serving dish. Pour over your cream mixture and enjoy.
Espresso Ginger Ale
Espresso Ginger Ale 🥃
Refreshingly crisp and invigorating, while being straightforward to prepare. This delicious drink can be enjoyed on a hot summers day, or by adding some rum, on a long summers evening.
-Double shot of FiXX espresso (approx 50ml)☕
-Ginger ale (150ml or to taste)
-Wedge of lemon and lime 🍋
-Fresh mint 🌿
-Black or Spiced Rum (optional) 25ml
In a large glass, squeeze and add the wedges of lemon and lime. Scrunch and add 3 large leaves of fresh mint. If adding rum, do so now and stir to combine the flavours. Next, fill the glass with ice and add your ginger ale, leaving room at the top for your coffee. Finally, slowly add your FiXX espresso. If you don't have the means to make espresso, strong brewed coffee will also work well. Garnish with fresh mint, lemon and lime, stir and serve.
What's better than delicious? Simple and delicious, that's what. Four ingredients and four steps. What could go wrong! A no-nonsense treat that can be paired with an espresso to create an Espresso Con Mocha-Panna type thing! For this recipe, you will need.
-250ml Double Cream
-60ml of your Favourite FiXX
-15g Abyss Chocolate powder (plus extra for dusting)
Brew your coffee however you like it and allow it to cool. We recommend using FiXX Organic for an extra chocolatey flavour kick, brewed using a Moka pot or French Press. Next, add your chocolate powder and sugar to a bowl and pour your cream on top. Whip these together until peaks begin to form, and then slowly add your coffee while you continue to beat. Once thoroughly combined, place your bowl in the fridge for an hour to firm up. When ready to serve, dust with chocolate and enjoy.
Iced Irish Coffee
Spring is a time for rebirth. Something new coming from something old. And March is a month that can be celebrated with a little drop of something Irish. And with that in mind, we have a new recipe for you. The Iced Irish Coffee is exactly what it sounds like. The classic hot cocktail, but served on ice.
Ingredients 50ml FiXX Coffee 35ml Irish Whiskey (from the freezer if possible) 50ml Irish Stout (well chilled) 10ml simple syrup (or to taste) Double Cream Ice
Method Fill a tall highball glass with ice. Brew your coffee how you like it. The more coffee flavour you can concentrate, the better. Espresso will work best, but if this is not possible, a French Press, Moka Pot, or Aeropress will work well too. Once your coffee is brewed, pour 50ml into the glass of ice, flash chilling it and trapping all those coffee flavours. Next, add the Whiskey, syrup and stout, leaving room at the top for the cream, then stir to combine. Before adding the cream, give the bottle a good, vigorous shake about 30 times. Enough to thicken it slightly. Then slowly pour, so it sits on top of the drink, then enjoy.
For a small island on the western fringes of Europe, Ireland's influence on the world far outweighs its size. And to celebrate this stature, we at FiXX give you an Irish twist on an international classic. The Irish Espresso Martini is for the saints and scholars, poets or messers. Perfect for your seisiún traidisiúnta.
-50ml Irish Whiskey
-50ml Irish Cream Liqueur
-50ml FiXX Espresso
Fill a martini glass with ice and allow chill for a few minutes. In a cocktail shaker, add your whiskey and cream liqueur. Add 5g of sugar to a double shot of FiXX espresso (approx 50ml) and stir to dissolve. Add this to your cocktail shaker, along with the ice in your martini glass and a few extra cubes. Put your lid in place and shake vigorously for one minute. Strain into your martini glass and serve immediately. Enjoy!

Fancy a Coffee Smoothie?🥤
Choose your own adventure with this Vegan Coffee Smoothie🥤. Choose to start your day on the healthy side of things with banana🍌 and wholegrain oats🌾. ½ cup (120ml) of your favourite FiXX ☕, chilled ½ cup (120ml) of Minor Figures Oat Milk 1 banana 🍌 - peeled, sliced and frozen the night before ¼ cup (25g) of rolled oats (or (vegan) vanilla ice cream 🍨🍨🍨)
A grab and go snack? That's easy to make? And with a delicious coffee flavour? Yes, please! These FiXX Protein Balls are a perfect mid-morning snack. Packed full of energy to keep you going through the rest of your day.
Ingredients: 225g Medjool Dates (stones removed) 80g Rolled Oats (porridge oats) 50g Walnuts 70g Cashews (toasted is best) 25g Desiccated (shredded) Coconut 50ml FiXX Espresso (or strongly brewed coffee) 35g Toasted Sesame Seeds 1 tbsp Cocoa Powder 1 tbsp Maple Syrup A Pinch of Salt
Method: Put your dates in a bowl and cover with water. Or better still, if you have some leftover, cold coffee, use that to enhance the coffee flavour. Soak them for 30min to soften the dates. While this is happening, toast your sesame seeds in a frying pan and leave them to one side to cool. If you've got time, toast your cashews too for more flavour. When your dates are ready, drain and put them in a food processor along with all the other ingredients, except the sesame seeds. Blitz until well combined. Use your hands to roll into golf ball-sized balls. Roll in toasted sesame seeds to thoroughly coat. Then place them in the fridge for at least one hour before enjoying.
A refreshing iced coffee on a hot summers day is music to my ears. And while there are many ways to brew and experiment with iced coffee, this recipe is your first stop essential go-to. Uncomplicated and rewarding. All you will need is your favourite FiXX, brewing equipment and of course, ice.
Firstly, brew your FiXX the way you prefer it (espresso/filter/french press). Next, fill a large glass/mug/jam jar with lots of ice. Then simply pour your coffee over the ice and enjoy. You can top it up with cold water or milk to dilute.
But why stop there? Add a splash of flavoured syrup. Some condensed milk, perhaps? You could even add a drop of something more potent if the occasion calls for it. Either way, the power is yours. Enjoy!
Oat Latte Ice Pop
Sweet and creamy with a full espresso flavour. Beautiful at any time of year. You will need ice pop moulds and an espresso machine for this recipe. Some strong brewed coffee will suffice if you cannot access an espresso machine. A french press is a good option for brewing strong coffee. This recipe will make 4 x 50ml ice pops.
50ml Fixx Espresso (approx double shot. Any blend will work)
100ml Oat Milk (or your favourite milk alternative)
10ml simple syrup (made dissolving sugar in hot water 1:1)
Place your ice in a jug and brew your coffee directly onto it. Or, if using a french press, brew and pour the coffee onto the ice, flash-chilling it. Then pour your milk of choice and simple syrup into the same jug. When all the ice has melted, stir to ensure everything is evenly combined. Pour the liquid into your mould, leaving space for the sticks. Place in the freezer until fully frozen. For easy removal from the mould, pour some hot water on the outside before pulling.
Cold Brew Ice Pop
Sweet and refreshing. Perfect for a hot summer's day. To make this ice pop, you will need some moulds. You'll also need a bit of patience to make your cold brew. This recipe will make 4 x 50ml ice pops.
160ml Your favourite FiXX cold brewed.
10ml Simple syrup
First things first, prepare your cold brew concentrate. Submerge 60g of coarsely ground FiXX (any blend will work) in 500ml of cold water in an airtight container. Mix well to ensure all the coffee is equally saturated. Then leave to brew for 12-18 hours. After this, strain well, and you've got your cold brew. While you wait for the cold brew, you can make your simple syrup. To do this, dissolve sugar in boiling water at a ratio of 1:1 (so 50g of sugar in 50ml of water). Once cool, bottle and keep for up to two weeks. When everything is ready, combine all the ingredients and then pour into each mould, leaving a bit of room for the stick. Then add to the freezer until fully frozen. Before enjoying, run a bit of hot water to the outside of the mould for easy removal.
Choco-Espresso Ice Pop
Full coffee flavour with a rice dark chocolate body. Delicious and decadent. Using ice to flash-freeze the espresso flavours adds a lovely depth of flavour to this ice pop. And if you don't have access to an espresso machine, just brew some strong coffee in a french press.
50ml FiXX espresso (approx double shot, and any blend will work)
50g dark chocolate sauce.
5ml simple syrup (sugar dissolved in water 1:1)
Dark chocolate chips
Put 100g of ice in a jug and add 5ml of simple syrup. In a separate jug, add the chocolate sauce and brew your coffee straight on top of it. Mix to combine the espresso and chocolate sauce, then pour the mixture over the ice and flash-chilling it. Pour the liquid into your ice pop moulds, leaving a little space at the top for the stick and chocolate chips. Put in the freezer for 30 min, then take out and add the chips to the mixture. Put your stick in place, then return to the freezer until fully frozen. For easy removal from the moulds, pour some hot water on the outside before removing.
White Mocha Ice Pop
Coffee and chocolate will always be a winning combination—no matter what time of year it is. But if it was summer, wouldn't it be lovely frozen and served on a stick? Of course it would. Any chocolate sauce or chip combination will work in the recipe—dark, milk or white. You will need moulds for ice pops for this recipe, and you'll also need a bit of time.
FiXX Organic Cold Brewed
Simple syrup (sugar dissolved in water 1:1)
DaVinci Chocolate Sauce
First things first, prepare your cold brew. Submerge 40g of coarsely ground FiXX Organic in 500ml of cold water in an airtight container. Mix well to ensure all the coffee is equally saturated. Then leave to brew for 12-18 hours. After this, strain well, and you've got your cold brew. While waiting for the cold brew, drizzle chocolate sauce into your moulds along the sides and form a little pool on the bottom. Place these in the freezer to solidify. When your cold brew is ready, combine 200ml of your coffee with 5ml of simple syrup. Leave some space at the top of your mould for the choc-chips, but don't add them yet. Put the mould in the freezer for 30min to semi-freeze the liquid. At this point, add your chips, put the stick in place and add to the freezer until frozen solid. To remove the ice pops easily, pour hot water on the outside of the moulds before removing them.
White Peruvian🥛🥛 . . . Creativity is often part inspiration, part innovation. The inspiration in this case coming from recently rewatching The Big Lebowski🎳 and the unavoidable desire to drink White Russians that comes with it. The innovation comes from my recent cold brewing of our award-winning FiXX Organic blend. Coming from small, organic farms in Peru, the cold brew process brought out strong chocolate🍫 notes and was almost begging to be a cocktail base. Of course, I couldn't refuse, and so, the White Peruvian was born. . . To begin, submerge 60g of coarsely ground FiXX Organic in 500ml of water for 18hrs. It's best to do this in the fridge in an airtight container. Next, strain your coffee and marvel at the intense chocolatey aroma. You've now got your base and are ready to rock. Next, fill a whiskey tumbler with ice and add...
◻️ 25ml Vodka ◻️ 25ml Kahlua ◻️ 100ml Fixx Organic Cold Brew ◻️ Minor Figures Oatmilk to taste . . . Then just do as the Dude does. Sit back, relax and enjoy (responsibly, of course). Using chilled FiXX Organic, or any of our blends (available online) will work too. But for best results, cold brew is the winner.

This recipe will work best using coffee on the fruitier side of the flavour spectrum. I've opted for our award-winning FiXX Oslo (FiXX Seattle and FiXX Lisbon work well, too - available at fixxcoffee.com). First, you will need to make your cold brew base. This will differ depending on whether or not you want it alcoholic.
Submerge 60g of coarsely ground FiXX Oslo in 500ml of cold water in an airtight container, mix well and refrigerate for 18hrs. After this, strain the grinds, and you've got your cold brew base. Then you'll need...
-50ml FiXX Oslo cold brewed
-100ml fruity red wine(e.g. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot)
-15ml simple syrup (made dissolving sugar in water 1:1)
-Fresh Berries to Garnish
In a tall glass with ice, combine the cold brew, wine and syrup. Stir, and top up with soda water to taste. Garnish with your favourite berries, and enjoy (responsible, of course).
Submerge 60g of coarsely ground FiXX Oslo in 500ml of cold water in an airtight container, mix well and refrigerate for 12hrs. After this, strain the coffee liquid into a jug. Next, add a handful of freshly sliced strawberries, raspberries and blueberries, and the zest on half an orange. Stir to combine and let sit for another 4 hours in the fridge. Finally, strain to remove the fruit and zest, and you now have your fruit-infused cold brew base. Then you'll need...
-50ml FiXX Oslo fruit-infused cold brewed
-15ml simple syrup (made dissolving sugar in water 1:1)
-100ml Soda water
-Fresh Berries to Garnish
Combine the fruit-infused cold brew with the syrup in a tall glass with ice. Stir, and top up with soda water. Garnish with your favourite berries, and enjoy.
