Red Hot Chilli Peppers – Coffee Shop

Coffee Shop Lyrics

I am just a lousy burn
Searching for the unknown crumb
The crumb the crumb
Something or someone to come
Come along illuminate my lust
Combust
Confucius might have been confused
And Buddha might have blown a fuse
Jooze the muse

Meet me at the coffee shop
We can dance like Iggy Pop
Another go in the parking lot
Frewak the cheek on your hotspot

Back and forth my body’s jerking
Will to thrill will not stop working
Work and work
I’ll take you on a honeymoon
Jumping on a bed in a hotel room
The room the groom

Meet me at the coffee shop
We can dance like Iggy Pop
Another go in the parking lot
Frewak the cheek on your hotspot

June 22nd, 2010 No comments

Waste Coffee has many uses but this one is particuarily interesting… Clothing made of Coffee Grounds.

Austrian outdoor supplier Northland has made clothing that contain coffee grounds as a means of neutralising body odours as well as keeping the body cooler.  During the manufacturing process the fibres are spun with recycled coffee particles.

Coffee Song – Prince sings “Starfish & Coffee”

June 18th, 2010 No comments

Prince – Starfish and Coffee

It was 7:45, we were all in line 2 greet the teacher Miss Kathleen
First was Kevin, then came Lucy, third in line was me
All of us were ordinary compared 2 Cynthia Rose
She always stood at the back of the line, a smile beneath her nose
Favorite number was 20, every single day
If U asked her what she had 4 breakfast, this is what she’d say
Come on….

Starfish and coffee, maple syrup and jam
Butterscotch clouds, a tangerine, and a side order of ham
If U set your mind free, baby, maybe U’d understand
Starfish and coffee, maple syrup and jam

Cynthia wore the prettiest dress with different colored socks
Sometimes we wondered if the mates were in her lunch box
Me and Lucy opened it when Cynthia wasn’t around
Lucy cried, I almost died, you know what we found….

Starfish and coffee, maple syrup and jam
Butterscotch clouds, a tangerine, and a side order of ham
If U set your mind free, baby, maybe U’d understand
Starfish and coffee, maple syrup and jam

Cynthia had a happy face just like the one she drawed
On every wall in every school
But it’s alright, it’s for a worthy cause

Go ‘head Cynthia keep singing…..

Starfish and coffee, maple syrup and jam
Butterscotch clouds, a tangerine, and a side order of ham
If U set your mind free, baby, maybe U’d understand
Starfish and coffee, maple syrup and jam

A Great Day at the Taste of Dublin & Paul McCartney’s Concert

June 14th, 2010 No comments

Myself and some of the crew from Cafe de Cuba took ourselves off to the Taste of Dublin on Saturday and enjoyed a day of amazing food, spectacular weather, music, fashion and some star spotting at the Iveagh Gardens.  My gourmet feast included Jumbo Prawn Cocktail from The Saddle Room Shelbourne Hotel, Lough Erne Lamb from Balzac, Dublin Bay Prawn Scampi from Venu Brassiere, and Roly’s Hot Chocolate Pudding with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream – simply delicious.

I also caught up with some friends, Brian from Eatery 120, the gang from Venu Brassiere, Shane from Seapoint and an old friend I haven’t seen in 6 years, Catherine Fulvio from Ballyknocken Cookery School. Well done Catherine on your new TV show - Catherine’s Italian Kitchen.

My day was topped off when I was whisked off to the Paul McCartney concert in the RDS – a fabulous performance and a perfect finish to a great day!
